Conventional GPC analysis in which molecular weight averages (Mn, Mw, Mz), molecular weight distribution (polydispersity index, PDI), and concentration of polymers are measured relative to a calibration curve of polymer standards using the refractive index (RI) or UV-vis detector only.
Universal GPC analysis in which true molecular weights (Mn, Mw, Mz), molecular weight distribution (PDI), intrinsic viscosity ([η]), hydrodynamic size (Rh), and Mark-Houwink parameters of polymers are measured in relation to a calibration curve of polymer standards using a combination of the RI or UV-vis detector and the viscometer.
Triple Detection GPC analysis in which absolute molecular weights (Mn, Mw, and Mz), molecular weight distribution (PDI), intrinsic viscosity ([η), hydrodynamic size (Rh), Mark-Houwink parameters, radius of gyration (Rg), and polymer shape factor (Rg/Rh) are measured using a combination of RI detector, multi-angle light scattering (MALS) detector, and viscometer.
